Getting to St. Lorenzen in the Puster Valley: by car or train
Over the Brenner Pass, via Lienz or by train: St. Lorenzen is easy to reach in the Puster Valley. If you arrive by train or bus, we are happy to pick you up at the stop.
By car
From Germany and Austria, drive via Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass on the A22 Brenner motorway to the Brixen/Pustertal exit. From there the SS49 leads into the Puster Valley to St. Lorenzen, where you turn towards Val Badia and follow the signs to Maria Saalen. For your sat nav: Maria Saalen 19, 39030 St. Lorenzen.
From the east you reach the Puster Valley via Lienz in East Tyrol and Innichen. Please note: Italian motorways are tolled, dipped headlights by day and a high-visibility vest in the car are mandatory, and from 15 November to 15 April winter tyres or snow chains are required in snow and ice.
By train and bus
With Deutsche Bahn, ÖBB or the night train you travel over the Brenner Pass to Franzensfeste/Fortezza. There you change to the Puster Valley line, which takes you to St. Lorenzen station in about 40 minutes. Long-distance coaches such as Flixbus also serve Bruneck.
Let us know your arrival time and we will pick you up at the stop. You can also send luggage or your bike ahead by courier: services such as Insam Express collect it from your home and deliver it straight to the farm.
Getting around with the South Tyrol Guestpass
On arrival you receive the South Tyrol Guestpass. During your stay it lets you ride buses and regional trains throughout South Tyrol at no extra cost, for example the Citybus to Bruneck, the Puster Valley train to Innichen or the bus to St. Vigil.
For trips to Lake Braies and the Three Peaks the bus is especially worthwhile: in summer, daytime access by car is only possible with an online booking. When hiking in the Dolomites, it saves you the search for a parking space.
